About Me

Natasha Smart
Old Oxted, Surrey, United Kingdom
I'm a part-time feltmaker and textile artist who developed a love of feltmaking following a Foundation Course in Textiles at Morley College, London in 2005/06. My main passion is for colourful Nuno felting (felting wool fleece into fabric), which I transform (often with added embroidery) into artworks, clothing, bags/purses and greetings cards. I also create felted jewellery and other accessories, and welcome commissions. Since 2009 I've been running feltmaking workshops in my studio, which has been great fun - I hope to give you an insight into what goes on in the studio through this blog, and perhaps interest you to come and join me to make felt!
